Where Virtual meets Reality

AirspaceVR is a virtual network developed for the aviation community. Pilots, flight instructors, students, and simulation enthusiasts can use AirspaceVR to fly and communicate with one another in a highly realistic visual and audible environment.  There is no geographic restriction on airspace and ATC will be available globally 24/7.

Any machine, from a full motion Redbird FMX to a laptop, that runs Microsoft FSX or Lockheed Prepar3D can participate in the virtual network. With a compatible intercom system and AirspaceVR software installed on their simulation devices, participants can see each other through their windshields and communicate on the radio. Pilots can use their headsets and make frequency selections directly from the avionics on the training device.

AirspaceVR is a centerpiece of the emerging Mindstar Aviation Community.  The virtual airspace can be used as a meeting place as well as a remote classroom.  Pilots can meet up with friends, fly with mentors, meet their instructor, or take courses developed by professional aviation educators.

This aviation community from Mindstar capitalizes on the powerful core features of the simulation network. AirspaceVR provides the ability for instructors to meet clients in private airspace.  An aerobatics instructor at home on his PC in Idaho could meet a client at a select virtual location in Colorado from a Redbird FMX at a Virginia flight school.  Educators can monitor a client’s performance from a windshield, tower, or ATC view from anywhere and on any machine installed with the software - including your personal computer.

As a flight instructor or aviation educator you can use AirspaceVR as a virtual classroom.  Meet clients from any location and at anytime.  Flight school and simulator owners can realize more training efficiency and increased device use.

“This takes my Redbird FMX to a place I’ve always wanted to go, realistic self-guided instruction.  Now I can put a student in the sim and say, go fly to Winchester, shoot the ILS and we’ll talk about your flight when you get back.”
Don Robb - Flight Instructor and Owner, AV-ED Flight School Aviation, KJYO

Pilots and learners can train in a more realistic environment.  Use AirspaceVR as a meeting place for your instructor, friends, or mentors.  challenge yourself with scenario-based courses.

“I’ve been teaching clients with AirspaceVR on the Redbird at my flight school for the past two months and the amount of virtual traffic is amazing.  You really do have to make your radio calls in order to avoid other airplanes, especially on the ground.  The airspace may be virtual, but the pilots are all too real!”
Greg Ashby - Pilot, AV-ED Flight School, KJYO
